Hi, we’re Sarah and Patrick, founders of Barkheimer Barns and the heart behind our little piece of paradise located in Massillon, Ohio.
We started Barkheimer Barns in 2017 with a deep love for animals and a dream of creating a space where they could thrive. What began as a private passion slowly grew into something bigger, and in 2024, we opened our gates to the public with private, hands-on farm tours unlike anything else in the area.
Today, our farm is home to a wide range of exotic and beloved animals ranging from giraffes and sloths to baby kangaroos, goats, mini cows and even a monkey! But what makes Barkheimer Barns truly special isn’t just the animals, it’s our mission.
Conservation and education are at the core of everything we do. We believe that when people connect with animals up close, it inspires a deeper understanding and respect for the natural world. Our tours are designed to be both fun and meaningful, giving guests the chance to feed, pet, and learn about these amazing creatures in a way that’s personal, engaging, and memorable.
