Frequently Asked Questions
Are there age restrictions for experiences?
There are no age restrictions. We simply ask that children are old enough to follow simple directions. Parents and guardians are responsible for closely supervising their children at all times during the experience.
Can I come along if my family has tickets but I don’t?
No. Due to insurance requirements, every person participating in or present within an experience must have a ticket. Non-ticketed guests are not permitted in the experience area and may be asked to wait in their vehicles.
Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
Yes. All experiences require advance booking. This allows us to limit group sizes and ensure the safety and comfort of both our guests and animals.
Can we take photos and videos?
Absolutely! Guests are welcome to take photos and videos throughout the experience. We just ask that you follow staff instructions and refrain from using flash unless otherwise permitted.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Experiences take place on a working farm and may involve uneven ground.
What happens if I’m late or miss my scheduled time?
Please arrive on time for your scheduled experience. Due to animal care routines and tight scheduling, experiences begin promptly, and we reserve the right, at our discretion, to start or continue experiences without late arrivals. Guests who arrive more than 10 minutes late may be turned away at our discretion. Late arrivals may receive a shortened experience. Missed or late experiences are non-refundable.
Is Barkheimer Barns wheelchair accessible?
Yes! We are happy to accommodate wheelchair users for our experiences. Please let us know in advance if you have any accessibility needs so we can ensure the best possible experience for you.
